Welcome to the Holywell Medical Group Website
The Group offers medical care to people living in and around the Chesterfield area, with surgeries in Chesterfield town centre, Staveley, Inkersall, Barrow Hill, and Grangewood. Maps of our surgery sites are available clicking on the appropriate address to the right.
Our aim is to provide you and your family with friendly, personal and effective health care. We endeavour to treat all our patients fairly to meet their needs in an appropriate way and as promptly as possible. When contacting us to make an appointment our staff will ask you for a brief description of your problem. This information enables them to direct you to the most appropriate member of our clinical team. You are not obliged to disclose any medical information should you not wish too.
Our staff should treat everyone courteously and we would ask that patients help us by being polite when they contact us at the surgery. All members of ‘our team’ are listed under the tab at the top of the page.
This website informs you about us and the services that we offer. You can also order prescriptions online. More information about health issues is available through the information leaflets and links. We have a patient participation group who meet regularly to aid communication between the staff and patients of Holywell Medical Group, as well as getting more patient involvement with the practice. If you would be interested in taking part or would like more information please speak to a receptionist or call a surgery.
New Inkersall Surgery now Open
We have much pleasure in announcing that the new surgery at Inkersall is now fully operational, and was opened to the public on Monday 3rd December. Please click on the link above to see a few photographs. We are also pleased to welcome a new colleague, Dr. Peretz, who has joined the staff at the new surgery.
Patient Participation Group and Virtual PPG
The Holywell Medical Group patient representative group now has a separate page - please see the headings at the top of the page and go to the 'Patients Group' page where you will find several downloads available. The next meeting will be at Thursday 23rd May 2013 at Inkersall Family Health Centre at 2pm.
If you would like to be automatically notified of future on-line surveys, please complete the VIRTUAL PPG INVITATION form and send it in to your local surgery, and we will add you to the list. You will then receive an e mail inviting you to take part, when future surveys are released.
In consultation with the Patient Participation Group we plan to use the results of the survey to improve the service we offer to our patients. We will conduct periodic surveys to review whether the changes we implement improve patient perceptions of the services we provide.

Calls to the 111 number will be answered by call handlers who will follow a protocol dependent on the caller’s answers and will act accordingly. For example, this maybe to dispatch an ambulance directly or sign post to another service or advise patients to call their own GP.
Any patients calling their Practices out of hours will hear a message asking them to ‘hang up’ and redial 111 which of course would then be free.
